Holiday Brunch Ideas | Christmas Table, Hot Cocoa Bar & Home Decor!

Happy Holidays, friends.

My favorite time of the year is finally upon us..
Tis' the season for family, friends and festivity!
We threw a Holiday Brunch at our home this past weekend, and invited family over for tasty treats, and lots of laughs :)

I was so excited to decorate our dining room with Christmas cheer, and set up a gorgeous holiday tablescape using affordable decor from Walmart!
I was pleasantly surprised to discover that Walmart.com Home had a ton of beautiful dinnerware to choose from! (um have you seen the new Pioneer Woman line?! give. me. EVERYTHING.)

I chose The Pioneer Woman Paige Crackle Glaze Plate Set & Better Homes and Gardens Snowflake Plates for my place settings. I loved the farmhouse simplicity of the Pioneer Woman dinnerware coupled with the festive metallic accent of the snowflakes.. holiday perfection.

To decorate I decided to go with a mixture of glitzy metallic decor and of course, natural burlap accents (you just cant take the farmhouse out of the girl). I trimmed our table with burlap ribbon runners, gold jingle bells, small silver ornaments and fresh greenery.
For an easy and affordable centerpiece, I filled a glass apothecary jar with faux glitter snowballs and gold bells.

Now on to the important business of FOOD.

For our holiday brunch, I made coffee cake muffins in snowflake liners from Walmart's holiday baking section, ham & cheese quiche (find the easy recipe here) powdered doughnut snowmen and fruit skewers.
These Better Homes and Gardens Rectangular Platters were perfect to display my delicious treats. I also made a pitcher of cranberry apple cider, and set up a hot cocoa bar.

The hot cocoa bar was probably my favorite addition to our holiday brunch; I think it turned out so cute!
I decided to set everything up on a rustic Wire Tray from Better Homes and Gardens on our buffet in the dining room so that our guests would have easy access to everything they needed. I filled mason jars with cocoa and marshmallows, and put out candy canes and crushed peppermint bits for toppings.
On a tiered tray, I added mugs with striped paper straws, small pine trees, and an Anchor Hocking Mini Trifle Bowl filled with Bob's soft peppermint sticks. I also adorned the hot cocoa bar with a festive Die-Cut Snowflake Banner.

And who could decorate for a Holiday Brunch without adding a Christmas tree?! Not this girl.I found this perfect Holiday Time Greenwood Pine for only $30 at Walmart! Can you believe that?! Now I'm wishing I had picked up two.. or ten.

I added clear lights, burlap ribbon and rustic ornaments to complete the look. At the base of the tree, I placed an X-Large Wood Crate from Walmart, which I stained to match our decor; and added grain sack pillows for a farmhouse feel.

Will you be throwing a festive holiday brunch or other holiday gathering this year?  We had so much fun with ours that I think we might make this an annual event! :)
