Building Our First House - Kitchen Cabinets, Bathroom Tile & More! NEW Pics!!


hi Beauties.

Lots of exciting updates at the future Bentley household this month!

Now that the drywall is in, all of the fun goodies have started to arrive! It's so exciting to see all of our design center choices now in OUR home! :)
As you might have already guessed, I was personally most excited about the installation of our kitchen cabinetry. I am so pleased with how it turned out, the toffee coloring is so rich and warm, and all of the molding details are gorgeous (my crappy cellphone pics do not do it justice!)
They also put our siding and shutters up in ONE day.. What a surprise that was last week!

      hi :) our cabinets are from Yorktowne Cabinetry. They are maple wood in the color toffee, the door style is coventry. let me know if you'd like to know anything else!

    I LOVE your bathroom renovation! We are just starting ours (and our bathroom looks VERY similar to what yours used to)! I actually had already picked our marble hex tile for our floors and subway tile for the walls when I saw this post! We're a teeny bit worried about the shower floor being slippery. What finish did you use (honed or polished)? and is it slippery? Your bathroom gives me hope!!

Ooh I'm so excited... It's officially Fall! AND I get to talk about a couple of my recent obsessions, Repurposing furniture & Chalk Paint® decorative paint by Annie Sloan!! If you follow me over on my My Youtube Channel & Facebook , you've probably already noticed that I've been essentially living in our garage, painting furniture like a maniac. I've been bit by the DIY bug, and no piece of wood is safe from my paint brush! ;) If you've ever delved into the world of painting furniture yourself, there's no doubt that you've seen a lot of beautiful pieces painted with the famous Chalk Paint® by Annie Sloan.
