Ooh I'm so excited... It's officially Fall! AND I get to talk about a couple of my recent obsessions, Repurposing furniture & Chalk Paint® decorative paint by Annie Sloan!! If you follow me over on my My Youtube Channel & Facebook , you've probably already noticed that I've been essentially living in our garage, painting furniture like a maniac. I've been bit by the DIY bug, and no piece of wood is safe from my paint brush! ;) If you've ever delved into the world of painting furniture yourself, there's no doubt that you've seen a lot of beautiful pieces painted with the famous Chalk Paint® by Annie Sloan. So of course I had to try out this amazing paint for myself! I decided that an old dining set I found on Craigslist was the perfect first project ( side note: come to find out, a giant old dining set is probably NOT the perfect choice for a first project haha ).  Here are a few pictures of what the dining set looked like B...

hi beauties. Hope that all of you had a fabulous 4th of July of weekend! We hosted a family cookout, and were able to enjoy a gorgeous firework display from our own backyard which was really neat! Today, I wanted to share 2 chic and simple DIY jewelry & makeup stands that I recently created using products from the Dollar Tree dollar store! Most sales last 72 hours, and offer exceptional value on one of a kind home finds.  For the Reflect Your Style campaign, I was asked to create my "Dream Vanity" complete with a gorgeous statement mirror from their site. Obviously, this was a fun challenge for a beauty lover like myself; considering I'm almost always dreaming of fabulous makeup spaces ;)  I chose the Vevey Mirror as the centerpiece of my dream vanity. Happy [ SpRiNg ] Beauties! FINALLY Spring has arrived, and I am so excited for the sunshine, warm breeze & blooming flowers :)  The spring season always motivates me to make big changes, and start anew. Typically for me this means cleaning, DIY projects & clothing donation. But this year I decided that our living room needed a little spring makeover too! (I know I know, we've only been living here for 7 months lol) but the dark burgundy curtains and black wrought iron touches I added in the fall were making the room feel a bit too heavy for me. BEFORE AFTER Ahhhh.. I feel like I can breathe again!  Also as you can see, our shiba inu Kissu makes herself comfortable no matter the decor ;)  The biggest change I made to our living room was switching out the curtains.
